Why should Swiss companies use SwissSalary?

SwissSalary 365 payroll software helps you process payroll accurately and efficiently. This is extremely helpful because Swiss payroll accounting is complex and subject to strict legal requirements. The solution not only simplifies the HR department’s day-to-day tasks, but also ensures that all legal requirements are always met. For this reason, smart payroll software has become indispensable for many Swiss companies.
Eight benefits of SwissSalary 365 payroll software
- Compliance with Swiss regulations: SwissSalary 365 is tailored to Switzerland’s specific requirements, such as social insurance, withholding tax, labor laws, and statutory reporting obligations. This automatically keeps your company compliant with Swiss law.

- Automated processes and time savings: The payroll solution enables extensive automation of many HR processes, from payroll and absence management to preparing social insurance statements. This saves time and reduces manual errors.
- Extensive HR features: In addition to payroll, SwissSalary offers a range of additional HR tools, such as employee evaluations, absence management, and working-time models, which are important for modern and efficient personnel management.
- Flexibility and scalability: The software has a modular structure and can be adapted to companies of different sizes. It is suitable for small and midsize companies as well as larger organizations.

All your data works together
Seamless integration of SwissSalary with the Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system

SwissSalary integrates seamlessly with the Business Central ERP system. Using the two systems together helps you optimize payroll accounting and HR management while improving data consistency. Real-time transfer of financial and HR data reduces the risk of errors.
Centralized data storage also makes it easier for HR and Finance teams to collaborate and simplifies the creation of financial reports.
Automating payroll calculations and statutory deductions (e.g., AHV, ALV) minimizes manual work and increases efficiency. This allows the HR department to focus more on strategic tasks.
Another benefit of the integration is the compliance support provided by the Swissdec 5.0 interface. It ensures the legally compliant transmission of payroll and tax data to Swiss authorities.
Convinced already? Then let’s take a look at the implementation process.
The SwissSalary setup process
Integrating and setting up SwissSalary requires careful planning and close collaboration with experienced Microsoft consultants to ensure all HR and payroll processes run smoothly during implementation and after launch. Setup usually takes a few weeks.
In the following section, we explain each step of the setup process for successfully integrating SwissSalary Ltd.’s payroll software.
- Needs analysis and planning: First, a needs analysis is carried out together with the SwissSalary implementation partner, such as Nexova Dynamics. We identify which features and modules are relevant to your company and how integration with your existing IT infrastructure and, if already in place, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will work.
- Preparing the ERP environment: If you already have Business Central, we integrate SwissSalary into your existing environment. If your company does not yet use Dynamics 365 Business Central, we first set up the ERP system. We then migrate existing data from other systems into the new ERP software.
- Installing and configuring SwissSalary: SwissSalary is installed as an add-on in Business Central. We then configure the basic settings, including company data, payroll types, departments, and employee assignments.
- Data migration and review: Next, we migrate existing employee data, payroll statements, and other relevant information into SwissSalary. It is important to review the data carefully beforehand to ensure all values are correct and there are no errors that could affect future payroll runs.
- Configuring payroll parameters: SwissSalary requires specific settings, which we configure for you, including social insurance, tax deductions, pension funds, and other legally required payroll parameters. We must also take Swiss employment and tax requirements into account, such as withholding tax calculations and deductions for Old-Age and Survivors’ Insurance (AHV).
- Testing and training: Before SwissSalary is used in day-to-day operations, it goes through a test phase. We prepare sample payroll statements and check that the calculations are accurate and complete. At the same time, we train the relevant employees so they can use the software efficiently.
- Go-live and support: After a successful test phase, the system goes live. During the first few weeks after SwissSalary goes live, you can contact us at any time if you have questions or encounter problems. We provide support to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Regular maintenance and updates: Because legal requirements can change, SwissSalary is updated continuously to ensure compliance. SwissSalary itself provides regular updates and support for customizations or extensions.
